Shirley Mae Summerfield

Shirley Mae Summerfield, age 75, of Kingston, MI passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Fisher Senior Care and Rehab Center in Mayville, MI with her loving family at her side. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the Kingston Wesleyan Church in Kingston, MI with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. The family will receive visitors 1 – 8 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at the Avram Funeral Home in Mayville, MI and 10 A.M. until time of the service Thursday at the church. Internment will take place at East Dayton Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund. Shirley was born August 4, 1936 in Charlevoix, MI, the daughter of Robert and Frances (Henderson) Hayden. She married Roy L. Summerfield July 26, 1985 in Caro, MI. Shirley was a member of Kingston Wesleyan Church, loved sharing good times with family and friends, and also enjoyed embroidering, and putting together puzzles. She is survived by her husband Roy Summerfield of Kingston, MI, six children; Bertha (Daniel) Williams of Clifford, MI, Edna (Bob) Heidt of Sebewaing, MI, Charlene (Lane) Torrey of Kingston, MI, Barbara (Henry) Bastian of Marlette, MI, Eugene (Eileen) Rauch of Silverwood, MI, Jackie Bastian of Sioux Falls, SD, mother; Frances Kerestes of Harrison, MI, one brother; Robert H. (Holly) Hayden of Albuquerque, NM, four sisters; Judy (Al) Allard of Harrison, MI, Amelia Rohde of Davison, MI, Esther (Richard) Haugen of OR, Sharon (Bob) Hetzel of OR, many grand children and great grand children. Shirley was preceded in death by one son; Bobby Vennevy in 1989, father; Robert C. Hayden, one brother; Andrew Hayden, one sister; Betty Rohde, and husband; Melvin Rauch in 1965.
